Dhenkanal, July 24 (UDN): Devotees from Dhenkanal are preparing a grand 391-foot-long Tulasi garland to adorn Lord Jagannath on the auspicious occasion of the Bahuda Yatra. The special offering is being prepared as part of the traditional celebrations dedicated to Lord Jagannath and his siblings during the return journey festival.
Along with the massive Tulasi garland, devotees will also offer a 351-foot-long lotus garland and a 311-foot-long marigold garland to the deities. These elaborate floral offerings are expected to add grandeur to the religious celebrations at Sarala Srikhetra.
The preparations have drawn the participation of devotees who are contributing their time and efforts to create the sacred garlands as a mark of devotion and reverence. The Bahuda Yatra, an important festival in the Jagannath tradition, marks the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra to their abode after the annual Rath Yatra.
The special floral decorations are set to be a major attraction for devotees attending the celebrations, reflecting the deep spiritual connection and cultural traditions associated with Lord Jagannath worship.
