Puri, July 27 UDN}: The sacred Adharapana ritual of the Chaturdhamurtis—Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Sudarshan—who are currently seated on their respective chariots, was successfully completed amid deep religious fervour and devotion in Puri.
As part of this significant ritual, the traditional Adharapana offering was made to the deities. The ritual is believed to be dedicated to the invisible and supernatural beings who are said to accompany the deities during the Rath Yatra. Following the completion of the ritual, the side deities, along with Chandi and Chamunda, are believed to have been appeased and pacified.
With the completion of the Adharapana Niti, preparations are now underway for the much-awaited Niladri Bije, which is scheduled to take place today. During Niladri Bije, the Holy Trinity, along with Lord Sudarshan, will ceremonially return to the sanctum sanctorum of the Shree Jagannath Temple, marking the conclusion of the annual Rath Yatra festivities.
The occasion holds immense spiritual significance for devotees, as the return of the deities to the temple marks the completion of their divine journey and the formal conclusion of the grand Rath Yatra celebrations.
