New Delhi, July 27: Shri Pralhad Joshi today assumed charge as the Union Minister of Education at Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi. Soon after assuming office, the Minister chaired a comprehensive review meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Education to assess the progress of various flagship schemes, programmes, and key initiatives being implemented across the country. During the meeting, he took stock of the status of ongoing projects and emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening India’s education ecosystem in line with the vision of the Government.

The review meeting was attended by the Union Minister of State for Education, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, who joined the discussions on the Ministry’s priorities and future course of action.
Secretaries of both the Departments under the Ministry of Education—the Department of School Education & Literacy and the Department of Higher Education—along with other senior officials, were present during the meeting. They briefed the Minister on the progress of major programmes, policy implementation, and ongoing reforms in the education sector.
The Minister reaffirmed the Government’s resolve to ensure effective implementation of education initiatives aimed at enhancing access, quality, equity, and innovation across all levels of education, in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
