Coal-Laden Goods Train Derails in Titlagarh, Rail Services Disrupted

Bhubaneswar, July 27 (UDN): Rail services were affected after a coal-loaded goods train derailed in Odisha’s Balangir district on Monday. One wagon of the freight train went off the tracks near Titlagarh on the Titlagarh-Siker railway route.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the train was travelling from the Balangir side. The sudden derailment of a wagon disrupted train movement on the railway line, causing operational difficulties.

Following the incident, railway officials and technical teams rushed to the spot and began inspecting the situation. Restoration work is underway to remove the derailed wagon and bring rail operations back to normal.

Railway authorities are taking necessary measures to clear the affected section and ensure the safe resumption of train services.
