Bhubaneswar, July 27 (UDN): Odisha is set to witness a major boost in its digital infrastructure sector with five new data centre projects planned across the state, including two government facilities and three private sector investments.
The growing interest from leading organisations reflects Odisha’s increasing potential as a preferred destination for data-driven industries. Several companies are looking at setting up advanced data centres, with Khordha’s Info Valley emerging as a key location for such investments.
Major players including the Reserve Bank of India, Adani Group, Zoho Corporation, and HCL Technologies are among those involved in strengthening the state’s data centre ecosystem. The projects are expected to bring significant investment, create employment opportunities, and support the expansion of digital services.
The Odisha government is also developing its second data centre, while major private investments are being planned in the state. A proposed AI data centre project involving HCL Technologies and Sarvam AI is expected to become one of the largest technology investments in Odisha.
The expansion of data centre infrastructure is likely to strengthen the state’s position in the technology sector, improve digital connectivity, and support future growth in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital services.
