One Lakh Devotees to Be Served ‘Nilachal Abadha’ Today as Massive Prasad Preparation Begins After Niladri Bije

Puri: July 28 UDN}: Following the completion of the sacred Niladri Bije rituals, the famous ‘Nilachal Abadha’, the special Mahaprasad associated with Lord Jagannath and the deities of the Sri Jagannath Temple, is set to be served to devotees today. Preparations are reportedly underway on a large scale to ensure that prasada is cooked and made available for nearly one lakh devotees expected to visit the holy city of Puri.

The occasion marks the conclusion of the grand annual Rath Yatra festivities, as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra return to the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Jagannath Temple after completing their ceremonial journey. With the deities now back in the Ratna Singhasana following the Niladri Bije ritual, preparations have begun to provide devotees with the much-awaited Nilachal Abadha.
