Bhubaneswar, July 30 UDN}: Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha will reopen to tourists on August 1 after remaining closed for nearly three months to facilitate the annual breeding season of saltwater crocodiles. The park had been shut to visitors as a precautionary measure to ensure a safe and undisturbed environment for crocodile nesting and breeding.
With the breeding season now over, tourists and nature enthusiasts can once again explore Bhitarkanika’s rich mangrove forests, scenic waterways, diverse wildlife, and the famous estuarine (saltwater) crocodiles. The reopening is expected to boost eco-tourism and attract visitors from across the country during the monsoon season.
