Bolangir, July 30 (UDN): Flood conditions have severely affected Kumiapali village in Loisingha block of Odisha’s Bolangir district after water released from the Suktel Dam entered residential areas following continuous rainfall.
Several families have been left stranded as floodwaters submerged homes and surrounded parts of the village. Many residents have been forced to seek temporary shelter on rooftops, waiting for assistance while facing difficult conditions caused by the prolonged flooding.
Authorities and emergency response teams are working to assess the situation, evacuate vulnerable residents, and provide essential relief support to affected families. Efforts are underway to ensure the safety of those trapped by rising waters and to deliver immediate assistance to communities impacted by the disaster.
