Khordha, July 30 (UDN): The Khordha district administration has stepped up flood preparedness measures as heavy rainfall and rising water levels create challenging conditions in several areas.
The Collector and District Magistrate has cancelled all official leaves for government employees for the next four days and directed officials to remain available at their respective headquarters. Those currently on leave have been asked to return immediately to support emergency response efforts.
To strengthen coordination on the ground, senior supervising officers have been assigned to different blocks to oversee evacuation plans, relief operations, shelter management, and restoration activities.
The administration said the measures are aimed at ensuring a quick and coordinated response during the ongoing situation. Officials are closely monitoring vulnerable areas and working to provide timely assistance and support to communities that may be affected by flooding.
