Asika, July 31 UDN}: A friendship gathering was organised on Wednesday at the Kala Bikash Kendra in Dharakote at the invitation of social worker Sunil Kumar Mahanty. The main objective of the gathering was to discuss the development of the local area and to work for the welfare of the people by staying above political differences. Social worker Sunil Kumar Mahanty expressed his views that, with everyone’s cooperation, society should be made more beautiful, progressive and harmonious through collective efforts and dedicated public service.
The gathering was attended by several prominent personalities, including Tukuna Nayak, Shiva Shankar Patra, Tuna Bishoyi, Debashish Mishra, Pavitra Bishoyi, Anup Jena, Ashwin Bishoyi, Silu Bishoyi, Chiranjeevi Reddy, Muna Dora, Muna Sahu, Riti Bishoyi, Shiva Prasad Das, Rohit Nayak, Mangulu Gauda, Narayan Swain, Ganesh Swain and Sameer Nayak. From Sanakhemundi block, Sanjay Pradhan, Gangadhar Bhuyan, Sanatan Nayak, Amit Barik, Tofan Tarani and Mithun Jena were among those present.
More than 500 distinguished people attended the friendship gathering and expressed their support for the vision of serving the people and contributing to the development of the region beyond political considerations.
The programme was coordinated and managed by Prabhakar Pradhan, Manas Ranjan Nayak, Mithun Pradhan, Mantu Bishoyi and Gagan Bihari Swain, among others.
