Odisha Government Intensifies Flood Relief Operations as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Instructs Authorities to Ensure Continuous Food Supply and Rehabilitation

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 1 [ UDN}:  Keeping in view the flood situation that has developed in various parts of the state, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed the authorities to ensure uninterrupted food security for the affected people and to expedite all relief and rehabilitation operations. Special emphasis has been placed on ensuring that no flood-affected individual suffers from a shortage of food. Accordingly, the Chief Minister has issued specific instructions to extend the duration of providing cooked meals in flood-hit areas wherever required, based on the prevailing ground situation and the needs of the affected communities.

Following the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the State Government and all concerned departments are working with full commitment and urgency at the ground level to provide timely assistance to those impacted by the floods. The government is ensuring the availability of safe drinking water, essential medical services, and adequate security at all flood relief shelters. At the same time, every effort is being made to deliver relief materials and necessary support to each and every affected family. The State Government remains fully committed to standing with the flood victims, addressing their immediate needs, and ensuring that no affected household is left without assistance during this challenging period.
