High-Level Talks on Mahanadi River Water Sharing Held in New Delhi as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Joins Deliberations with Chhattisgarh Counterpart

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 1 [UDN}:  Mohan caran Majhi  attended an important meeting in New Delhi on the sharing and management of Mahanadi river water, chaired by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Patil, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

During the meeting, we firmly presented Odisha’s position, giving the highest priority to safeguarding the state’s rights, securing the future of our farmers, and protecting Odisha’s water resources. We remain committed to finding a permanent, mutually acceptable, and satisfactory solution to the Mahanadi water dispute through constructive dialogue, mutual cooperation, and a spirit of goodwill between the two states.
