Bhubaneswar, Aug 3 (UDN): President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Odisha on Monday for a three-day official visit, during which she will participate in a series of programmes focused on education, culture, and public engagement across the state.
The President arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, where she was welcomed by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other senior dignitaries.
Following her arrival, the President proceeded to Raj Bhavan before travelling to Cuttack, where she is scheduled to inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu University, marking an important engagement with the state’s education sector.
During her visit, President Murmu will also travel to Ganjam district, where she is scheduled to visit important cultural and spiritual sites, including Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and Shiva Temple at Taptapani. The visit reflects her engagement with Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
The President is scheduled to travel from Bhubaneswar to Brahmapur by train before continuing her journey to different locations in Ganjam. She will stay at the Army AD College in Golabandha during her visit.
The three-day visit highlights the President’s continued engagement with states, communities, educational institutions, and cultural centres across the country.
Her presence in Odisha is expected to strengthen public interaction and underline the importance of education, heritage, and inclusive development in the state’s progress.
President Murmu is scheduled to return to New Delhi on August 5 after completing her official engagements in Odisha.
