Nabarangpur, Aug. 4 (UDN): The annual yatra of Maa Pendarani Temple, the presiding deity of Umarkote in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, was celebrated with great devotion and traditional fervour on Tuesday.

Hundreds of devotees gathered at the temple to seek the blessings of Maa Pendarani and participate in the annual religious festivities, which hold deep cultural and spiritual significance for the region.

Odisha’s School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond also took part in the celebrations. The minister offered prayers at the shrine, sought the blessings of the deity, and interacted with devotees during the occasion.

The annual yatra is one of the major religious events in the Umarkote region, drawing devotees from Nabarangpur and neighbouring districts every year. The festival showcases Odisha’s rich spiritual heritage and strengthens the cultural bond among local communities.
