In an official directive issued by the Department of Odia Language, Literature & Culture, district administrations and concerned departments have been instructed to ensure effective implementation of the campaign in accordance with guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Under the initiative, citizens, government offices, educational institutions and organisations have been encouraged to proudly display the national flag at homes, workplaces and public premises during the campaign period.
The government has also urged people to participate in activities such as lighting diyas or lamps in the evening, singing the national anthem and national song at public gatherings, and sharing their ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ through the official campaign portal.
District Collectors and officials have been directed to create widespread awareness through print, electronic and social media platforms and coordinate with relevant agencies to promote public participation.
As part of the celebrations, key locations including government offices, schools, hospitals and railway stations will be decorated with the Tricolour. Various programmes, including exhibitions based on ‘Tiranga and Vande Mataram’, online quizzes for students, Tiranga rallies, cultural activities, and themed rangoli competitions, will also be organised across districts and panchayat areas.
The state government said the campaign aims to honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters, encourage patriotic participation and strengthen the spirit of national unity among citizens.
