Soldierthon 2026 Begins as President Droupadi Murmu Flags Off the Prestigious Event Organised by Her Bodyguard Unit to Honor the Spirit of the Armed Forces

New Delhi: Aug 7 [UDN}:President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday flagged off Soldierthon 2026, organised by the President’s Bodyguard (PBG), from Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi.
The event was organised from Cariappa Parade Ground to Delhi Cantonment, highlighting the discipline, dedication and spirit of the armed forces.
Personnel of the President’s Bodyguard participated in the event, including members of the cavalry and infantry units. The programme showcased the valour, tradition and commitment of the elite unit responsible for the President’s security.
The Soldierthon aimed to promote fitness, camaraderie and awareness about the rich legacy of the President’s Bodyguard, one of the oldest military units of the Indian Army.
