Awareness and Training Camp Held at PM SHRI Sindhiguda Upgraded High School in Preparation for the National Deworming Day Campaign

Sindhiguda, Aug 7 [UDN}:A training camp was organized today at PM SHRI Sindhiguda Upgraded High School under Nandahandi Block in preparation for the observance of National Deworming Day on 10 August 2026. The training was conducted for school teachers to ensure the successful implementation of the deworming programme.
The programme was held under the supervision of Dr. Sudhanshu Karakara, Medical Officer of the Community Health Centre (CHC), Nandahandi. During the session, BPM Shri Ranjan Kumar Mishra provided a detailed briefing to the teachers about the objectives of National Deworming Day and trained them on the proper procedure for administering deworming tablets to schoolchildren. He also explained the precautions to be followed and the importance of ensuring that every eligible child receives the medication safely.
Smt. Uttama Harijan, Additional Block Education Officer of Nandahandi, attended the programme and guided the participants on effectively implementing the campaign at the school level. She encouraged teachers to work in coordination with the health department to make the initiative successful.
The training programme was attended by CRCCs (Cluster Resource Centre Coordinators) from various clusters of Nandahandi Block, along with teachers from different schools, who actively participated and received hands-on training regarding the deworming campaign.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by CRCC Shri Pradeep Swain, who expressed gratitude to all the officials, resource persons, and participants for their cooperation and contribution towards the successful conduct of the training camp.
