District Units Gear Up for OSSTA’s August 16 Mass Agitation with Preparatory Meeting Held to Ensure Successful 24-Hour Protest Programme

Balanga: Aug 7 [UDN}:A district-level preparatory meeting was held at the premises of PM Shri Vidyalaya, Balanga, under the banner of the Odisha School and College Teachers and Employees Coordination Committee (OSSTA). The meeting discussed preparations and strategies for the successful and disciplined organisation of the proposed 24-hour mass protest scheduled to be held at Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar on August 16.
The protest is being organised by OSSTA to press for the fulfilment of various demands of school and college teachers and employees. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding mobilisation of participants, maintaining discipline, and ensuring smooth coordination during the demonstration.
The meeting was chaired by OSTA President Bijay Kumar Baral. OSSTA Secretary Bibhudatta Nayak, State Secretary Ranjan Kumar Das, along with Pranab Kumar Jena, Tarun Kumar Nayak and other members were present and shared their views on the upcoming programme.
The organisation stated that the demonstration will highlight the long-standing demands of teachers and employees and urged members from across the district to participate actively in the movement.
