Navi Mumbai, Aug 07: SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus welcomed its newest cohort of students through a series of orientation programmes conducted across seven schools, bringing together academia, industry and legal experts to help students transition into university life and prepare for their academic and professional journeys.
The orientation programmes were organised by the School of Liberal Arts (SOLA), School of Law (SOL), School of Technology Management and Engineering (STME), School of Economics (SOE), School of Hospitality Management (SoHM), Sunandan Divatia School of Science (SDSoS), and the School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPTM). Across the schools, students were introduced to academic curricula, faculty members, campus resources, student committees, leadership opportunities and support systems, while also participating in campus tours, interactive sessions and activities designed to foster collaboration and community.
The programmes featured interactions with accomplished professionals from diverse sectors, offering students first-hand perspectives on industry expectations, career pathways and lifelong learning. Distinguished guests included Ms. Mrudula Joshi, Adv. Jinay Jain, Adv. Bharat Manghani, Adv. Stuti Galiya, Ms. Isha Singh, Mr. Balchandra Kemkar, Mr. Hitesh Avachat, Ms. Vidhi Chadha, Mr. Paresh Malvankar, Dr. Montu Patel, and Dr. Sanjay Toshniwal.
Alongside academic orientation, students also attended sessions on mental well-being, anti-ragging, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH), academic support services, placements, alumni engagement and student-led committees, reinforcing NMIMS‘ focus on creating a safe, inclusive and holistic learning environment from the outset.
A key milestone during this year’s orientation was the official inauguration of the School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPTM) at the NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus, marking the expansion of the University’s academic offerings and reaffirming its commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research and healthcare innovation.
