Bhubaneswar, Aug 8 [UDN}:The Odisha weather department has issued a warning of very heavy rainfall across several parts of the state today and tomorrow. Residents in the affected districts have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions amid the possibility of intense rain activity.
The warning has been issued particularly for districts including Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected.
Authorities have advised people to stay cautious, especially in low-lying areas, as continuous rainfall may lead to waterlogging, local flooding, and disruption of normal life in vulnerable regions. District administrations have been asked to monitor the situation closely and take prompt action if required.
