Bhubaneswar, Aug 14 [UDN}:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s two-day visit to New Delhi has concluded, with the visit emerging as a significant step towards strengthening investment and industrial development in the state. During his Delhi engagements, the Chief Minister held discussions with investors, industrialists, business leaders and representatives of major companies, highlighting Odisha’s vast investment potential, abundant natural resources, skilled workforce and investor-friendly environment.
As a major outcome of the visit, investment proposals worth around ₹66,000 crore are expected to come to Odisha. These proposed investments are likely to create new opportunities across several sectors and further accelerate the state’s economic growth.
The proposed investments are expected to generate large-scale employment opportunities for the people of Odisha, while also promoting industrialisation, infrastructure development and the expansion of existing business ecosystems. The government has been focusing on attracting both domestic and global investors by offering a conducive business environment and facilitating faster project implementation.
The Chief Minister’s Delhi visit also underlined the Odisha government’s efforts to position the state as an attractive destination for major industries and long-term investments. Discussions with leading business groups focused on opportunities in sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, energy and other emerging industries.
The government believes that the proposed ₹66,000-crore investment pipeline will provide a major boost to Odisha’s development ambitions. Successful implementation of these projects could strengthen the state’s industrial base, increase economic activity, create direct and indirect employment and open up new opportunities for local entrepreneurs and businesses.
