Odisha Governor Pays Tribute to Partition Victims on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati paid tribute to those who endured the pain, displacement and suffering during the Partition of India on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

In a message shared on X, the Governor remembered the countless people whose lives were deeply affected by the Partition, highlighting the immense loss and hardships faced by millions.

He said that despite the suffering and displacement, millions of people demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience, rebuilt their lives and went on to contribute significantly to the progress of the nation.

The Governor said the day should serve as a reminder of the importance of unity, harmony and brotherhood. He also called upon people to work together towards building a peaceful and Viksit Bharat.

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is observed on August 14 to remember the suffering and sacrifices of people affected by the Partition and to reflect on the importance of peace, social harmony and national unity.
