Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: The 8th edition of SAITED, SAI International Education Group’s flagship science and technology festival, was held with Padma Bhushan S. Nambi Narayanan, former ISRO director, gracing the event. The 2024 festival, one of the largest K-12 science fests in India, saw over 5,000 attendees and centered on the theme, “Sorcery of Science: Where Magic Meets Matter.”
The event brought together students and educators from across Odisha to celebrate scientific curiosity and innovation. SAIIEG Chairperson Silpi Sahoo highlighted how the theme reflected the transformative power of scientific breakthroughs.
A key highlight was the inauguration of the STEM Conclave by Nambi Narayanan, renowned for his contributions to India’s space programs. In his keynote, Narayanan shared insights from his career at ISRO and celebrated India’s leadership in STEM fields. He also reminisced about his collaboration with former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
SAITED 2024 left a lasting impact on the young minds, reinforcing the importance of science and technology in shaping the future.
