Collector Takes Stock of Electoral Roll Revision Progress, Instructs BLOs to Upload Pending Documents Without Delay and Strengthen Verification of Voter Details

Malkangiri,Aug 17 [UDN}: To accelerate and strengthen the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Malkangiri district, the district administration has taken several steps.
District Collector and District Election Officer Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke visited Mathili Block to review the progress of the voter-list revision process. During the field visit, he conducted a detailed review of the progress of online document uploading being carried out by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at various polling booths.
The hearing process for complaints and applications by the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) has already been completed. Therefore, the Collector directed all BLOs to upload all pending documents to the digital portal immediately without any delay.
He stressed that no eligible voter should be left out during the revision process and instructed officials to ensure that the electoral roll remains completely accurate and error-free.
During the review meeting, the Collector said that preparing a transparent, accurate and error-free electoral roll is the highest priority of the district administration. He made it clear that any negligence or laxity in this important work would not be tolerated.
As the legal hearing process has already been completed by the EROs, all BLOs were directed to upload the remaining documents within the stipulated time and complete the Special Intensive Revision process at the earliest.
The Block Development Officer and Tahsildar of Mathili, along with the Assistant District Election Officer, were present during the review meeting and field visit. They discussed field-level challenges and possible solutions with the Collector.
The local administrative officials have been entrusted with full responsibility for completing the revision process within the prescribed timeline and in accordance with government guidelines.
