Kolnara, Aug 17 [UDN}:: A zonal-level sports competition was inaugurated at the local PM SHRI Jagadamba Government Higher Secondary School in Kolnara. Around 74 students from various schools across the block are participating in the competition.
In the programme, In-charge Block Education Officer (BEO) Pitrudev Bidika attended as the chief guest, while OAV Principal Debasmita Rout and Rekhapadar School Headmaster Vivekananda Huika attended as distinguished guests. They spoke to the students about the importance of sports and physical activities.
The programme was conducted by the school’s Principal, Ms. Jyotsnarani Behera. School Physical Education Teacher Arabinda Swain, along with sports teachers from other participating schools, coordinated the competitions.
Sanskrit teacher Dhananjaya Bagarsi introduced the guests and administered the sports oath to the participating students. He also proposed the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the programme.
The sports competition has been divided into four zones. Competitions in two zones have already been completed, while events in the remaining two zones are yet to be held.
