Odisha Government Steps Up Flood Management as Senior IAS Officers Take Charge of Three Flood-Affected Districts

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 18 [UDN}:  IAS Sudhanshu Mohan Samal has been assigned responsibility for Bhadrak district.
IAS K. Sudarshan Chakraborty has been given charge of Balasore district.
IAS P. Anwesha Reddy has been assigned responsibility for Jajpur district.
The officers have been directed to immediately visit the respective districts and personally assess the prevailing flood situation.
They will review the ground-level situation, assess the impact of flooding, monitor rescue and relief operations, and coordinate with district administrations to ensure timely assistance to affected people.
The move comes amid the flood situation in several parts of Odisha, with the government stepping up field-level monitoring and relief measures to safeguard people in vulnerable and low-lying areas.
