BhadrakAug 20 [UDN}: District Collector Shri Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, IAS, today provided detailed information to media representatives through a media briefing regarding the prevailing flood situation in Bhadrak district.
The district administration has accorded the highest priority to saving lives, safely evacuating vulnerable and flood-affected people, ensuring the supply of food and safe drinking water, providing medical and veterinary services, maintaining sanitation, and preventing water-borne diseases during the flood situation.
The administration is maintaining 24-hour surveillance and monitoring of the flood situation, while continuous coordination is being maintained with all concerned departments to ensure a prompt and effective response.
The Collector emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the lives and well-being of people affected by the floods. Relief and emergency services are being coordinated on a continuous basis so that essential assistance reaches vulnerable communities without delay.
