Green Transport Gets a Push in Bhubaneswar as Government Waives Permit Fees for Electric and Ethanol Vehicles

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 22 [UDN}:In a significant move aimed at promoting cleaner and more sustainable modes of transportation, the Odisha Government has announced a waiver of permit fees for vehicles powered by electricity and ethanol. The decision, announced in Bhubaneswar, is expected to encourage greater adoption of eco-friendly vehicles across the state.
Under the new provision, owners and operators of electric vehicles (EVs) as well as ethanol-fuelled vehicles will be exempted from paying the applicable permit fees. The initiative is intended to reduce the financial burden on vehicle owners while encouraging a gradual shift away from conventional fossil-fuel-based transportation.
