District Collector Inspects Kosagumuda Block, Reviews Progress of Key Development Projects and Government Welfare Initiatives

Nabarangpur,Aug 24 [UDN}:Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain made a surprise visit to various government offices, health centres, Aahaar Centre, bus stand and educational institutions in Kosagumuda Block. He reviewed their functioning, record maintenance, quality of service delivery and the quality of ongoing construction works.
The District Collector first visited the Kosagumuda Block Office and inspected various files, records and official documents. He advised the officers and employees to ensure proper preservation and regular updating of records, along with transparency and accountability in government work.
He subsequently visited the Kosagumuda Community Health Centre (CHC) and reviewed the ongoing repair and maintenance works. He interacted with medical officers and healthcare workers to understand the day-to-day functioning of the hospital, patient care, infrastructure requirements and various challenges. He stressed the need to provide better and accessible healthcare services to patients.
The Collector then visited the Kosagumuda Bus Stand, where he checked the attendance register and reviewed the overall sanitation and cleanliness arrangements. After interacting with the bus stand manager and staff, he directed them to ensure regular cleaning, sanitation and essential basic amenities for the convenience of passengers.
He also inspected the Aahaar Centre operating on the hospital premises. He reviewed the quality of food, cleanliness, cooking and serving arrangements, as well as the overall management of the centre. He advised the concerned staff to provide quality food to beneficiaries and the general public as per the prescribed standards.
Later, the Collector visited the SSD School at Santoshpur. He interacted with the headmaster, teachers and students and reviewed the quality of teaching, active participation of students in classrooms, implementation of the curriculum and school management. He urged teachers to focus not only on the academic progress of students but also on their overall development.
During the visit, the Collector also inspected the construction of the 100-bed hostel building under construction on the school premises. He directed the concerned executive officers and engineers to strictly adhere to the prescribed technical standards, approved design, specified quality of construction materials and quality-control norms. He made it clear that there would be no compromise on the quality of construction work.
The Kosagumuda BDO, along with officials, employees and junior engineers from various departments of the block, was present during the visit.
