New Market Opportunities for Lac Handicrafts Expected to Boost Artisan Livelihoods and Promote Odisha’s Rich Traditional Craft Heritage

Nabarangpur, Aug 24 [UDN}:The Postal Department will provide market access for Nabarangpur’s traditional lac handicrafts. In this regard, Koraput Division Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Satyabadi Biswal visited the residence of state handicraft award-winning lac artisan Kumari Prabhati Patra and handed her a letter assuring that the Postal Department would help market the lac handicraft products.
Following this initiative, the market reach of lac handicraft products made by artisans is expected to expand further. Nabarangpur Postal Inspector Rabindra Behera was also present on the occasion.
