Bhubaneswar,Aug 26 [UDN}:: IPS officer Anugu Shiva Maruthi Reddy on Tuesday assumed charge as the ADC (Aide-de-Camp) to the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.
At a formal ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, the Governor welcomed Shri Reddy as he took charge of his new assignment. Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Rupa Roshan Sahu, along with senior officials of the Governor’s Secretariat, was present on the occasion.
Prior to taking up the new responsibility, Shri Reddy was serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of G. Udayagiri.
Shri Reddy has replaced IPS officer Ananya Awasthi, who was earlier serving as the Police ADC to the Governor.
The Governor of Odisha is assisted by two ADCs—one from the Indian Navy and another from the Odisha Police. At present, Lieutenant Harshit Deo is serving as the Naval ADC, while Shri Reddy has taken charge as the Police ADC.
An ADC plays an important role in assisting the Governor in carrying out official engagements, ceremonial functions, formal events and other protocol-related responsibilities.
