Bhubaneswar, Aug 26 [UDN}:A state-level orientation programme on the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (PWDVA) and the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 was organised under the chairpersonship of @PravatiPOdisha.
The training programme focused on the legal provisions of the two laws, the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders, and mechanisms for coordinated action in cases involving domestic violence and dowry-related offences.
The programme aimed to strengthen awareness, improve coordination among concerned stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation of legal safeguards available to women. @WCDOdisha was also associated with the programme.
