Rayagada ,Aug 27 [UDN}: As part of the ‘Samaras Sankalp Abhiyan’ organised to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, a grand Kalash Vandana procession and Saints’ Conclave was held at the district level in Rayagada in an atmosphere filled with devotion, reverence and social harmony.
A large number of saints and spiritual leaders participated in the sacred gathering and guided society towards social harmony, brotherhood and unity. Thousands of devotees and Kalash-bearing participants took part in the programme and sought the blessings of the revered saints.
Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji spread the message of equality, humanity and social justice through his deeds, thoughts, poetry and couplets. His teachings against untouchability and social discrimination continue to serve as a source of inspiration for society even today.
On the occasion, Hon’ble Minister Nityananda Gond, Koraput Lok Sabha candidate Majhi Kaliram, district president Gopi Anand, Rayagada Assembly candidate Basant Ullaka, Special Development Council Chairman Bidya Dhar Sabar, Vice-Chairperson Manjula Miniyaka, State Permanent Invitee Member Yalla Kondababu, Y. Ganapati, State Yuva Morcha Vice-President Umesh Khosla, senior BJP leader from the Gunupur Assembly constituency Jananeta Sanobhaina, along with several senior party leaders, all Mandal presidents, youth workers and thousands of devotees, participated in the event.
The gathering reaffirmed the collective resolve to build a harmonious and inclusive society inspired by the ideals and teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji. 🙏
