In a remarkable achievement, the children of two teachers and one woman teacher from the same block have simultaneously qualified to pursue medical education.

All three successful students come from ordinary government-school teachers’ families and have secured medical seats through their hard work and dedication.

Vedikaarani Jadi, daughter of Brundabati Sethi, Headmistress of Ambadala Baghdangari Upper Primary School, secured 54th rank in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category in the state. She pursued her studies while staying at home and has earned the opportunity to study medicine at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.

Similarly, Jyoti Prakash Mohanty, son of Bhaskar Mohanty, a teacher of Ghamataguda Upper Primary School who retired last month, has also achieved success. He secured 476th rank and has been selected to pursue his medical studies at Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada.

Another success story is that of Ajit Mahanandia, son of Sushil Mahanandia, Headmaster of Chichangabari Upper Primary School. Ajit secured 213th rank in the ST category in the state and has earned admission to Saheed Rendo Majhi Medical College and Hospital, Bhawanipatna. His elder brother is also reportedly pursuing engineering.
