Odisha Looks to Strengthen Global Investment Ties as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Plans Dubai Visit for Investors’ Summit

Bhubaneswar,  Sept 1 [UDN}:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Dubai in September as part of the state government’s efforts to attract greater investment and strengthen international business ties.

Chief Minister Majhi is expected to leave for Dubai on September 8 and will stay there on September 10 and 11 to participate in an Investors’ Meet. During the visit, he will highlight the investment opportunities and emerging economic potential available across Odisha and seek participation from global investors and industrialists.

As part of the programme, the Chief Minister is expected to hold one-to-one meetings with leading industrialists and potential investors, discussing investment prospects in sectors where Odisha has significant advantages. The government aims to showcase the state as an attractive destination for domestic as well as international investment.

The Dubai visit comes against the backdrop of the Odisha government’s ongoing investment-promotion campaign. Earlier, an industrial and investment programme was organised in New Delhi, where several investment proposals were reportedly discussed.

According to the information available, 38 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been associated with investment proposals that could potentially generate employment opportunities for around 54,135 people. Overall, investment proposals worth approximately ₹66,000 crore have been received for the state.

The Chief Minister’s Dubai visit is therefore expected to focus on converting investment interest into concrete projects, attracting new investors and creating employment opportunities in Odisha. The government is likely to emphasise Odisha’s industrial infrastructure, natural resources, skilled workforce and growing connectivity while presenting the state as a competitive investment destination.
