Bhubaneswar, Sept 1 [UDN}:During his visit to Bargarh district, Odisha’s Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj reviewed various ongoing and proposed development projects and assessed the progress of higher education initiatives in the district.
As part of efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve facilities for women students, the Minister announced a ₹3.60 crore grant for the development and improvement of Bargarh Parvati Giri Women’s College.
The financial assistance is expected to support infrastructure development, improvement of existing facilities, creation of a better academic environment and other essential works at the college. The initiative highlights the state government’s focus on upgrading educational institutions and ensuring better opportunities and facilities for students, particularly women pursuing higher education.
During the district visit, the Minister also reviewed various development projects and interacted with officials regarding their implementation and progress. He stressed the importance of timely completion of projects and effective utilisation of government funds to ensure that students and the wider community benefit from improved educational infrastructure.
The announcement of the ₹3.60 crore grant for Bargarh Parvati Giri Women’s College is being seen as a significant step towards strengthening women’s higher education infrastructure in the district.
