Nayagarh, Sept 2 [UDN}: Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has made a major announcement for the development and prosperity of Nayagarh district. Giving special importance to the overall development of the district and the economic well-being of its farmers, the Chief Minister has announced that a sugar mill and the Brutanga Irrigation Project will be started soon.

The announcement has generated fresh hopes among the people of Nayagarh, particularly the farming community. Both projects are expected to play an important role in strengthening agriculture and improving the rural economy of the district.

Once these two major projects are implemented, thousands of farmers in Nayagarh district are expected to benefit directly. The Brutanga Irrigation Project is likely to improve irrigation facilities and provide farmers with better access to water for agricultural activities. Enhanced irrigation infrastructure could help increase agricultural production, support multiple cropping, and reduce farmers’ dependence on uncertain rainfall.

Similarly, the proposed sugar mill is expected to create new opportunities for farmers and contribute to the growth of agriculture-based industries in the district. It may also help generate employment and strengthen economic activities associated with farming and rural development.

With improved irrigation facilities and new opportunities for agricultural development, these projects are expected to give a fresh momentum to farming and the agriculture-based economy of Nayagarh. The initiatives are being seen as significant steps towards improving farmers’ livelihoods, boosting rural prosperity, and accelerating the overall development of the district.

The people of Nayagarh are now looking forward to the early commencement and successful implementation of both the sugar mill project and the Brutanga Irrigation Project, which are expected to open a new chapter of agricultural growth and economic development in the district.
