Jeypore, Sept 3 [UDN}: The birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad was celebrated in Jeypore city of Koraput district amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm, devotion and reverence. The city wore a festive look on the occasion, with the Muslim community organising a grand procession.
Carrying a message of peace, harmony, brotherhood and unity, the procession witnessed the participation of a large number of people. Members of the community from different areas came together and joined the procession, which passed through various roads of Jeypore city.
An atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm was visible among the participants throughout the procession. However, the central message of the event was peace and brotherhood. Through the procession, people were urged to maintain mutual harmony, cooperation and unity in society.
Former minister Rabi Nanda also participated in the procession. He extended his greetings to everyone on the occasion and appealed to people to carry forward the message of peace, communal harmony and brotherhood.
The celebration in a multicultural and diverse city like Jeypore presented a beautiful example of social unity. Rising above religious and community differences, the procession conveyed a strong message of mutual respect, peace and brotherhood.
The festive atmosphere continued across the city, while the procession’s message of peace and harmony further strengthened the spirit of unity among the people of Jeypore.
