Bhubaneswar, Sept 4 [UDN}:A well-marked low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal continues to remain active near Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining northern coastal Odisha, triggering widespread rainfall across the state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Warning for Sundargarh and Keonjhar today, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall in these districts.
Meanwhile:
6 districts have been placed under an Orange Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall.
12 districts have received a Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall.
Widespread rainfall is expected to continue across Odisha for the next two days.
Bargarh is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow.
A Yellow Warning has been issued for heavy rainfall in 6 districts tomorrow.
Authorities and residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain alert as intense rainfall could lead to waterlogging, flooding, and disruption of normal life and transportation.
