Odisha’s Young Chess Prodigy Elina Mishra Creates History With Outstanding Achievement, Inspiring a New Generation of Sporting Talent

Bhubaneswar,  Sept 11 [UDN}:Odisha’s four-year-old chess prodigy Elina Mishra has achieved a remarkable feat at an exceptionally young age, earning an official FIDE rating through her impressive performances on the chessboard. Recent reports describe her as the youngest female FIDE-rated chess player, with the achievement coming at just 4 years, 6 months and 16 days. 

Elina’s accomplishment is particularly inspiring because she has entered the world of competitive chess at an age when most children are only beginning to discover basic games and activities. Her achievement highlights her extraordinary concentration, strategic understanding, confidence and natural talent for the game.

Her success has brought immense pride to Odisha and has drawn appreciation from across the state. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also congratulated the four-year-old chess talent, describing her achievement as historic.
