Bhubaneswar, Sept 15 [UDN}: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s ongoing business mission to the United Arab Emirates has placed a strong emphasis on expanding the state’s international trade footprint, attracting fresh investments and creating large-scale employment opportunities. During a high-level roundtable meeting with business leaders, investors and representatives of the UAE’s industry and corporate sectors, the Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s growing economic potential and sought greater collaboration between the state and UAE-based businesses.
The discussions focused particularly on boosting Odisha’s exports, strengthening business-to-business partnerships, attracting investments into key sectors and generating new employment opportunities for the people of the state. The Chief Minister presented Odisha as an emerging investment destination with significant opportunities across manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, food processing, agriculture, tourism, technology and other sectors.
The roundtable meeting was aimed at creating stronger links between Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and the UAE’s global business network. The state government also sought to encourage investors and entrepreneurs from the UAE to explore Odisha’s infrastructure, natural resources, skilled workforce and strategic location as a base for expanding their businesses in India.
The Chief Minister stressed that increased investment and stronger international trade partnerships can play a crucial role in accelerating Odisha’s economic growth while simultaneously opening up new avenues of employment and entrepreneurship. The business mission is therefore being viewed as an important step towards positioning Odisha more prominently on the global investment and export map.
