Umerkote, Sept 15 [UDN}: Brahmachari Nilesh, also known as Nalinikanta Pattnaik, son of Bhaskar Pattnaik and the late Rajeshwari Pattnaik of Gulipatna, Umerkote, Nabarangpur district, has been awarded a PhD in Visual Art by Utkal University of Culture.
Brahmachari Nilesh conducted his doctoral research under the guidance of Dr Alekh Charan Sahu, former Principal of B.K. Art College. His research focused on the Baleshwar Mahadev Temple in Uttarakhand, under the theme “A Land of Art, Religion and Culture.”
His research work explored the artistic, religious and cultural significance of the historic temple and its broader relevance to the traditions of Indian visual art and heritage.
The doctoral thesis received high appreciation from Professor Pankaj Panwar of Santiniketan and Professor Chakradhar Behera, who praised the quality and significance of the research.
Brahmachari Nilesh is a disciple of the late Swami Dayananda Saraswati. His achievement has brought recognition to his family and the Umerkote region, with well-wishers congratulating him on successfully completing his doctoral research in the field of Visual Art.
