The anniversary programmes will be held at the district level at District Welfare Officer offices, Central Project offices and Anganwadi centres, besides other designated locations.

Parida has appealed to people to light lamps at their homes between 6 pm and 7 pm on September 17. The lamp-lighting programme, she said, would symbolise hope and new opportunities for women in Odisha.

The Deputy Chief Minister also announced that girls who have attained the age of 21 in Odisha will be welcomed as new beneficiaries under the scheme.

Over Rs 25,800 crore disbursed

The state government said around 1.03 crore women have benefited from Subhadra Yojana since its launch on September 17, 2024.

According to the figures shared by the government, more than Rs 25,800 crore has been transferred to beneficiaries over the past two years.

The latest instalment was credited in August 2026 to 1,03,26,162 beneficiaries, involving a total disbursement of more than Rs 5,160 crore directly into their bank accounts.

Parida said the second anniversary would also be an occasion to highlight the changes brought about in the lives of women beneficiaries across the state.

Subhadra portal to reopen in April

In another key announcement, Parida said the Subhadra portal will reopen on April 1, 2027, allowing eligible women who have not yet registered to apply.

She said the registration window would remain open for one month and would follow an annual schedule, with the portal opening for fresh applications at the beginning of every financial year.

The announcement is expected to provide another opportunity for eligible women to enrol in the scheme during the next financial year.

With the scheme entering its third year, the state government plans to mark the occasion through public celebrations while continuing the process of adding new beneficiaries.
