Damanjodi, Sept 17 [UDN}: An Environmental Awareness Campaign 2026 was organised at NALCO’s Damanjodi complex in Koraput district, with an emphasis on promoting environmental protection and encouraging eco-friendly practices among employees and participants.
Regional Officer of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB), Dipesh Biswal, NALCO Executive Director Amarendra Mishra, and Dilip Bag, among others, participated in the programme.
As part of the campaign, the guests distributed environment-friendly bags to participants to encourage the reduction of plastic use and promote sustainable habits. Saplings were also distributed to encourage plantation and greater public participation in environmental conservation.
The programme highlighted the importance of collective efforts to protect the environment, reduce pollution and promote sustainable development in and around the NALCO Damanjodi industrial area.
