Khairput, Sept 17 [UDN}: A district-level public grievance hearing camp was held today at the Khairput Panchayat Samiti office in Malkangiri district under the chairmanship of the District Collector. The camp provided local residents an opportunity to directly present their grievances and seek solutions from the district administration.
The Superintendent of Police, Divisional Forest Officer and senior officials from various government departments attended the camp and listened to the complaints and demands of the people. Officials concerned were directed to examine the grievances and take necessary action as per government rules.
During the programme, the District Collector distributed forest land rights titles (pattas) to eligible beneficiaries. Assistance in the form of social security pensions was also provided to beneficiaries. In addition, sports equipment was distributed under the Gramodaya programme to encourage sports activities and provide better opportunities for children and young people in rural areas.
The grievance hearing was aimed at bringing government services closer to the people, ensuring timely resolution of public complaints and strengthening coordination between the administration and residents of Khairput.
