Jeypore: Sept 19 [UDN}:The Samarpan Mandal-level Sri Aurobindo Women’s Study Circle conference was organised at the Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre located in the Irrigation Colony area of Jeypore. The programme brought together more than 280 sadhaks and sadhikas (devotees and spiritual practitioners) from different areas, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reflection, devotion and collective learning.
Sadhak Prabhat Bhai and Sadhika Malavika Apa attended the conference as the chief guests and delivered insightful addresses on the significance of the Divine Presence and the role of women in the practice of Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga. They highlighted the spiritual responsibilities and transformative potential of women in the path of integral yoga and emphasised the importance of inner discipline, devotion and dedicated spiritual practice.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the Mother’s Flag, followed by two minutes of silent prayer and meditation at the feet of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The solemn beginning created an atmosphere of peace and spiritual concentration among the participants.
As part of the spiritual proceedings, Sasmita Apa recited the Durga Stotra. Shanti Apa conducted the meditation and prayer session, while Vijayalakshmi Apa read from The Mother. The women teachers and members of the institution also presented a collective rendition of the Mother’s songs, adding devotional depth to the gathering.
The meeting was conducted by Asombita Apa, while Sanjukta Apa delivered the welcome address and extended greetings to all the guests and participants. In her address, Malavika Apa delivered an inspiring and powerful speech focusing on the role and significance of women in Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga. She spoke about the spiritual evolution of women and their contribution towards building a more conscious and harmonious society through dedicated spiritual practice.
To further enrich the devotional atmosphere, Niharika Apa presented a Matru Vandana, which resonated throughout the venue and added to the spiritual fervour of the gathering.
Following this, Prabhat Bhai addressed the gathering and spoke about various aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s spiritual philosophy and the relevance of integral yoga in contemporary life. His address encouraged the participants to deepen their understanding of spiritual practice and incorporate the principles of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother into their daily lives.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Gayatri, who expressed gratitude to the chief guests, organisers, participants and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the conference.
The event was attended by more than 280 sadhaks and sadhikas from different regions, reflecting the growing interest and participation in the teachings and spiritual philosophy associated with Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
Among those present during the programme were President Nirmal Chandra Mallik, Vice-President Harihar Sahu, Secretary Chandra Sekhar Mahapatra, Chairperson Suchismita Mahanty, Vice-Chairperson Sanjukta Pattnaik, along with Aruna, Niharika, Sasmita, Shubhashree, Abhilippa, Kalpana, Sarojini, Soudamini, Mamali, Manoranjan, Om Bhai and Ashok.
The organisers said the programme was conducted smoothly with the collective cooperation of all concerned. They attributed the successful completion of the conference to the blessings of the Divine Mother and Sri Aurobindo, expressing hope that such spiritual gatherings would continue to inspire greater dedication, harmony and inner transformation among devotees and the wider community.
