Bhubaneswar, Sept 21 [UDN}:Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has said that simple rules and easier administration are the fundamental pillars of trust-based governance.
The state government is giving priority to removing unnecessary complexities and simplifying approval procedures for citizens and entrepreneurs, with the objective of making governance more accessible and efficient.
As part of this effort, the ‘Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0’ has received approval from the State Cabinet. The proposed reforms will amend 62 provisions across 16 state laws administered by 11 departments.
The reforms are aimed at reducing regulatory difficulties and making routine government processes more citizen- and business-friendly. Minor and technical offences will be dealt with through reasonable financial penalties, while the procedures related to licences, permissions and registrations will be further simplified.
The initiative is intended to reduce unnecessary compliance burdens, improve the ease of doing business and provide citizens with a more straightforward interface with the government.
