Balangir, Sept. 21 (UDN): A 59-year-old forester was found dead inside his government-allotted residence in Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday, prompting police to begin an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The deceased has been identified as Byasadev Sahu, who was serving as a Forester under the Balangir Forest Range.
According to reports, Sahu was found inside the staff quarters located behind the Forest Range Office on Sunday evening. His colleagues reportedly discovered the body and informed the police.
A police team subsequently reached the spot and initiated an inquiry. The exact circumstances and cause of his death have not yet been established.
Meanwhile, members of Sahu’s family have alleged that he was under pressure due to work-related issues involving senior officials. They have sought a detailed investigation to determine whether any such factors were connected to his death.
