Bhubaneswar, Sept 22 [UDN}:An all-party meeting was held at the Odisha Legislative Assembly ahead of the commencement of the seventh session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly. The meeting was chaired by Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy.
The meeting brought together representatives of different political parties to discuss the smooth and orderly conduct of the upcoming Assembly session. Deliberations focused on maintaining parliamentary decorum, ensuring meaningful discussions on matters of public importance, and facilitating constructive participation by members from both the ruling side and the Opposition.
The Speaker’s meeting with representatives of various political parties is part of the preparations undertaken before the commencement of the session. Such discussions are aimed at ensuring coordination among the parties and creating an environment conducive to legislative business.
The upcoming session is expected to witness discussions on a range of issues concerning the State and its people, with legislators likely to raise matters relating to governance, development, public welfare and other important concerns.
The all-party meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Speaker Surama Padhy, ahead of the seventh session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly.
