Nabarangpur, Sept 23 [UDN}:: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nabarangpur district has appealed to people from all sections of society to participate in the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026’, which will be observed across Odisha from September 17 to October 17.
The campaign is being organised to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service, dedication and contribution towards nation-building. As part of the campaign, 11 programmes will be conducted through various departments and organisational units across the state.
A press conference was held in Nabarangpur to brief the media about the district-level plans for the campaign. The meeting was chaired by BJP district president Kunj Das. District Planning Committee Chairman and MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi, district coordinator Jyotiranjan Kans, co-coordinator Jagadish Bisoyi, BJP district secretary Debadas Mahankud and vice-president Achyutananda Bisoyi, among others, were present.
According to the organisers, the campaign will focus on promoting cleanliness, healthcare, environmental protection and social awareness. A number of public-service and community-oriented programmes will be organised during the month.
The activities will include lighting of lamps at homes, blood donation camps, competitions in schools and colleges, cultural programmes, street plays and other social-service initiatives at public places.
The campaign will conclude on October 17 with a programme titled ‘Jana Sevak Mahakumbh’, which is planned to bring together around 1.25 lakh representatives from the panchayat level to Parliament.
The organisers appealed to people to participate in the campaign irrespective of political affiliation, describing it as an opportunity to join various social-service and public-welfare activities.
The campaign will formally begin on September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, and continue until October 17.
